Building Relationships in Liberia
Five congregations of the Upper Susquehanna Synod are embarking on new relationships with partner parishes of the Lutheran Church in Liberia, one of the synod’s two global companion churches. The long-distance friendships will take place mostly through exchanges of email and photos over the Internet. Congregations will pray for one another, learn about each other’s lives and ministries, and develop a greater appreciation for the work God is doing around the world. The partnered congregations/parishes are:
- First, Watsontown, and Curran Lutheran Parish, Sanoyea, Bong County
- Himmel’s, Rebuck, and Kpolopele Lutheran Parish, Fuamah District, Lower Bong County
- St. Matthew, Bloomsburg, and Peace Lutheran Church, Northern region
- Trinity, McAlisterville, and Reed Memorial Lutheran Church, Millsburg, Montserrado County
- Trinity, Milton, and St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Paynesville, Monrovia
