Commonwealth Interfaith Service: Prayers for Justice and Peace: May 3, 2010


The Pennsylvania Council of Churches is encouraging congregations include this paragraph concerning the “Commonwealth Interfaith Service: Prayers for Justice and Peace” event on May 3 in a bulletin or newsletter:

The Interfaith Alliance of Pennsylvania, joined by numerous others, is sponsoring the Commonwealth Interfaith Service: Prayers for Justice and Peace on May 3, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. Pine Street Presbyterian Church (310 N. 3rd Street, Harrisburg) is hosting this service in observance of the National Day of Prayer on May 6. Please join your friends and neighbors to celebrate the rich diversity of faith traditions in Pennsylvania and raise a collective voice for a more just and peaceful world. Music by the vocal trio Three Twelve will begin at around 5:00 p.m., with the service commencing at 5:30 p.m. It will be followed by a reception hosted by Pine Street Presbyterian Church.
