Want to Be “In the Know?” Invite a Mission Visitor to Your Congregation!

Did you ever wonder where all those Health Kits, Seafarer’s Bags, or quilts that you lovingly sew all year long finally end up? Or how your congregation’s mission support to the wider church is used? Invite a Mission Visitor to your congregation! In November, Director for Evangelical Mission Beth Yenchko visited Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, and made a presentation about Lutheran Disaster Relief and the flood relief work done in Columbia and Montour Counties. Your congregation can request a mission visitor to preach or make a presentation during your worship service, Sunday School hour or special meeting. Special note! Synod Vice President Mike Schrey is available to make a presentation on synod finances and ministries to congregations one Sunday a month! Mike is currently preparing a new presentation, and already has several visits scheduled for early 2012, so get your request in to host him at your congregation from early summer onwards!
