SUMMARY:Youth Mission Trip
DESCRIPTION:This summer Allegheny Synod is sending a youth mission trip to Florida to help with hurricane relief from July 1-8. The plan is to take a bus from State College to Sarasota\, Florida with an overnight stop in North Carolina. Luther Springs camp is providing counselors and running the service projects and program for us. So it is a rather hands off trip but lots of fun and service for the youth. We do have enough adult leaders but if adults would like to come along\, they are more than welcome. Because price can be a make or break point\, the price will be somewhere around $700 per person. SUMMARY:Rostered Ministers Gathering
DESCRIPTION:All ELCA deacons\, pastors\, and bishops (under call\, on leave or disability\, retired\, or an approved candidate for call) are invited to come to the desert — a place where God has a habit of renewing weary leaders. Mark your calendars for July 17-20\, 2023\, in Phoenix. Each day of the gathering will begin in worship as we center ourselves around our theme\, “Rekindle the Gift Within You.” The days will begin with Bible studies and keynote speakers. The afternoon hours will offer a variety of individual options from activity in the Interaction Center to workshops and caucus times.

SUMMARY:Women’s Convention
DESCRIPTION:The 35th Convention of the Women of the Upper Susquehanna Synod\, to be held on Saturday\, July 22\, 2023\, at our beautiful camp just outside Mifflinburg. Camp Mount Luther’s Evergreen Center provides a comfortable setting which accommodates worship\, business meetings\, Bible Study\, workshop and\, of course\, a delicious lunch\, all to be included in the convention format. It is a great time to get acquainted and reacquainted with women throughout our synod\, make decisions concerning our organization\, share in worship and Bible study\, and have some fun. We hope you will plan to attend and bring a friend or two from your congregations. Cost for the entire day is only $45.00 per person.
