Pastor Stina Schaeffer is excited to serve as the new Assistant to the Bishop for Mobility and Transition. She will work with congregations and pastors, meeting with councils, call committees and rostered leaders to see what exciting new opportunities God has in store for us!
Since 2017, Stina has served alongside the wonderful folks at Salem, Selinsgrove as their pastor. She is a 2010 graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and a 2004 graduate of Susquehanna University with a M.A. in music- voice. Prior to serving at Salem, she served calls in Highland Lake, NY, and Huntingdon Valley, PA.
In addition to Salem and the synod, Stina serves as co-chair of the leadership support team, a summer camp chaplain at Camp Mt Luther and secretary of the Selinsgrove ministerium. She lives in Selinsgrove with her husband, Gary (Milton Lutheran Church, Milton), children Gabriel (15) and Ellie (12), and their English Springer Spaniel, Remi. In her spare time, Stina enjoys crafting, sewing stoles and reading. Together as a family, the Schaeffer’s love to camp, cook and try new foods together!
