United Lutheran Seminary’s Dr. Allison DeForest will lead Quarterly Pericope Studies on November 12, February 11, and May 27 at The Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg, from 8:30- 3:00. Cost is $20.00 (payment may be made through registration link or brought to the event). Seating is limited.

The 2026 Upper Susquehanna Synod Assembly will meet June 6, at Camp Mount Luther, under the theme, “Strength for Today, Bright Hope for Tomorrow.” The Assembly Planning Team is planning for a time of worship and education around the business meeting of our assembly.

As each congregation plans its annual meeting, we remind you to elect voting members to the Assembly. Each congregation reporting up to 500 baptized members on their 2024 report to the ELCA should elect two lay Voting Members to the Assembly in addition to their called pastor if they have one. Registration fees and meal expenses for Voting Members are expected to be paid by the congregation.

Registration will open March 4, 2026. Cost is $90 before April 15, $100 after that. Visitors cost $30 and meals and housing are billed separately. 

The Rev. Amy Shuck, pastor of First, Watsontown, will be officiating at Old Immanuel Lutheran Church's Annual Memorial Service on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., at 2633 Lime Bluff Road, Muncy. Along with our country's 250th birthday, we will be celebrating 235 years of Old Immanuel, the oldest Lutheran church in Lycoming County! You are most welcome to join us, but please be aware that the church has no electricity or running water, and is not ADA compliant.

Everyone is invited to come to Camp Mount Luther on Sunday, June 14, 2026, for a worship service that will officially kick off the summer camp season. The service will celebrate the outdoor ministry of the UpperSusquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Rev. James A. Vitale Jr., the camp’s associate director, will preach and preside over worship. Worship will begin at 6:45 p.m.
