Bishop’s Retreat for Rostered Leaders

The annual Bishop’s Retreat for rostered leaders will take place on Thursday-Friday, May 6-7, 2010, at the Penn Wells Hotel and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wellsboro, PA.   Dr. Erik Heen, Professor of New Testament and Greek at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, will present “Lutherans and the Bible: Pastor, Present, and Future”, about Lutheran interpretations of scripture and resources for meeting the challenges of scriptural interpretation in the ELCA today.  Click here for the registration form.

Please note two significant changes to this year’s event:

1) Registrations MUST be received by Wednesday, March 24 to guarantee your room. The Penn Wells Hotel will release our unreserved rooms after that date, and the room rate will increase by $65. Registrations received after March 24 may be placed on a waiting list for cancellations, or may pay the additional $65 (if rooms are still available).

2) In recent years we have enjoyed the mealtime hospitality provided by the Northern Tier congregations. This year, they are unable to do so. Instead our Thursday meals will take place in the Penn Wells Hotel dining room. Lunch will NOT be provided on Friday, at the event’s conclusion.
