Up and Down the Valleys: November 2024

Reminder: The Upper Susquehanna Synod Youth Team is looking to send as many youth as we can to Winterfest. Winterfest is January 3-5, 2025, at the Wyndham Resort in Lancaster and is a youth event sponsored by the Lower Susquehanna Synod. You probably know high-school aged youth who would love to attend and we ask you to please encourage them to go. We need adult chaperones, too! Reach out to cml@campmountluther.org by November 30 and we’ll work on putting registrations together.

The USS Women’s Organization replaced their “normal” Fall meeting with a bus trip to United Seminary in Gettysburg on November 12^th.  It was a delightful day with 32 participants.

Messiah, Clarkstown, welcomed choir members from First, Watsontown, and St. John ‘Brick’, Montgomery, to present “God is our Refuge and Strength” by Allen Pote on Reformation Sunday. Also on Reformation Sunda, St. Mark, Elysburg, St John’s, Danville and Grace, Shamokin gathered together for worship with Bishop Miller preaching and Pastor Sarah Hershberger presiding. A delicious lunch followed.
