Penn State Lutheran Campus Minister Alicia Anderson is joining Allegheny Synod Bishop Kevin Shock’s new staff iin a part-time role. Alicia will serve as Assistant to the Bishop for Formation. This is a quarter-time position and Alicia will continue serving as campus minister while taking on synod duties. Alicia took a group during spring break to North Carolina to help with clean up from Hurricane Helene.

The Synod Youth Initiative hosted an Open Mic Talent Show in March. About 23 youth and adults attended and sang, read poetry, did balloon animals and more!

The 2026 Upper Susquehanna Synod Assembly will meet June 6, at Camp Mount Luther, under the theme, “Strength for Today, Bright Hope for Tomorrow.” The Assembly Planning Team is planning for a time of worship and education around the business meeting of our assembly. Registration is $90 before April 15, $100 after that. Visitors cost $30.
